I follow all these groups, photographers, travel bloggers and I am constantly astounded about how I never grow tired of amazing shots of the bridges across the river Seine, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Montmartre for instance. It's a little bit like Monet's Rouen Cathedral series: a different light and it looks completely different. A different angle and you wonder how you never saw it that way.
Photography is one of the most inspiring arts out there. I worked for years at Versailles giving tours of the gardens and bosquets... And one day, I stumbled upon a French photographer's work: Eric Pouhier. He showed me the gardens of Versailles as if I had never seen them. I realized what a gift he had to see the beauty and how photographers share that with us. We are sometimes taken by our problems and issues and we can be closed to beauty.
So today, I wanted to celebrate all of you, amazing, talented photographers. Thank you for your vision, thank you for your generosity.
